Dead Astronauts; Jeff Vandermeer (2019, 323 pgs)
Less of a novel than a life-world, a non-linear exploration of some of the characters (human and non-human) inhabiting the same sick world that Borne takes place in. Some of this felt like Vandermeer just stringing words together, but by the end, I grasped enough of what he was doing and felt enough of what I’m sure he wanted the reader to feel to be duly impressed.
