I liked this significantly less than I thought I would. This is probably because it’s so different from Blade Runner. It is extremely weirdly paced, and some of the sub plots are just uninteresting. I want to read more of Dick’s work because the way he writes about settings (and some of the characters) is quite interesting. But, this didn’t feel like something more than the sum of its parts – which is absolutely the case with the movie that took the basic thread of a narrative from this and stripped it into something much more thrilling.
